Astrophotography Workshop at Mt. Wilson
October 14, 2012: Michael Britt of Samy's Camera organized a workshop with Fred Metzler of Canon and Dave Jurasevich, the Mt. Wilson Observatory Superintendent.
After a short presentation by Fred at Samy's Camera in Pasadena, we headed up the mountain. The weather couldn't have been more perfect—new moon, clear skies, and mild temperatures on a beautiful autumn night. Once the 25 participants arrived at Mt. Wilson, we were treated to a tour of the 100" dome and its historic telescope. We then returned to the 60" telescope and began viewing and snapping single images through the telescope.
